Whether that's gardens I've visited, animals I've encountered, or little tips, tricks and pearls of wisdom I've picked up along the way.

HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?
I've always been green-fingered and gardening is in my blood. I remember fondly helping my granddad on his allotment called 'The Fir Plot' where he grew all kinds of vegetables and had chickens! You can see now where I got the inspiration for these designs...
ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL
My dad never missed an opportunity to belt out this hymn at the top of his lungs - the fact that he was completely tone deaf didn't stop him in the slightest! I've always been an animal lover and over the years I've collected many a waif and stray - from a tank of terrapins to rescue dogs, cats with emotional baggage and even once a mouse with a broken nose - needy animals always seem to sniff me out! My current menagerie consists of a cockapoo with a wonky paw and an almost 100 year old tortoise (don't ask!)
In the same way these creatures have wormed their way into the crook of my arm over the years, animals of all kinds have also snuck into my designs. And of course, I'm always inspired by the wildlife outside of my home. Here are some of my favourites...
KEEPING ME YOUNG!
As well as being lucky enough to raise four lovely kids of my own who are now grown up, I'm now also grandma to three beautiful children. Of course, I love being a grandma because you can spoil the kids rotten and then hand them back without having to deal with the consequences! Of course, having young people in my life again has brought me so much joy and I've been inspired to make some things with them in mind. This includes my children's book 'This Garden is Magic' for 3-7 year olds all about the magic and power of gardening.
